About the role

As an Occupational Therapist with Ability WA, you’ll:

  • Deliver evidence-based therapy to people living with disability 
  • Empower customers living with disability through a person-centred approach
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary therapy team using the key worker model
  • Provide therapy at our hubs and in the community
  • Work closely with families, schools, hospitals, and other support networks

📍 Positions available at our newly built, state of the art Murdoch hub (Full Time & Part Time).

 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration 
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Driver’s Licence & ability to travel for community visits
  • Required checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children, National Police Clearance, First Aid, COVID-19 Vaccination)

Our New Starter Program

Whether you're a new graduate or new to the disability sector, our 2 year program sets you up for success with:

  • Shadowing: Intensive in your first 2 weeks, plus ongoing
  • Supervision with team leader: Intensely over the first 6 weeks, then 6 weekly ongoing
  • Mentoring: One-on-one support from an experienced OT; access timely clinical support and inspiration on your career pathway
  • Professional development: Regular Clinical Lead catch-ups aligned with our PD roadmap
  • Peer support: Buddy up with another new starter and join new starter round tables
  • OT community: Monthly meetings for shared learning and collaboration
