Are you passionate about mentoring others and driving quality improvement in disability services? Ability WA is seeking a Lead Coordinator to support and develop Community Services Coordinators across our Home and Living team.

About the Role

As a Lead Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide structured support, coaching, and development to new, acting, and existing Community Services Coordinators.
  • Deliver consistent training and induction programs tailored to individual needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Conduct audits and provide feedback to drive excellence in customer support.

This role involves regular site visits across the Perth Metro area and close collaboration with the General Manager – Home and Living and Community Services Operations Managers.

Why This Role Matters

The Lead Coordinator position is critical to ensuring consistency and quality across our Home and Living services. By providing structured support and coaching to new and acting Community Services Coordinators, this role helps improve retention and confidence within the team. It also plays a key role in rolling out process improvements and embedding best practices, ensuring changes are understood and implemented effectively. Without this role, we risk inconsistency in service delivery, reduced support for new staff, and delays in implementing quality initiatives—all of which impact customer experience and compliance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or an Allied Health background.
  • Experience in leadership, coaching, auditing, or clinical roles within human services.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS, Community Inclusion, and Quality & Safeguarding frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and change management skills.
  • A commitment to Ability WA’s values and purpose.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement.

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Influence service quality and consistency across Community Services.
  • Support the growth and confidence of Coordinators in their roles.
  • Be a key contributor to strategic improvement initiatives.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and help shape the future of Home and Living at Ability WA, we would love to hear from you!
