As a Community Support Worker with Ability WA, you'll empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest, helping them connect with their community, build independence, and achieve their goals. What You'll Do 💼
- Provide person-centred care and support customers to enjoy community activities like coffee catch-ups, shopping, classes, movies, and appointments.
- Encourage independence and social connection.
- Assist with daily living needs such as personal care, meal planning, and light domestic tasks.
- Drive wheelchair-accessible vans (training provided).
- Keep progress notes to help us provide exceptional care.
About You 🙌
- Passionate about helping people thrive in their community.
- Adaptable communicator with a person-centred approach.
- Comfortable driving wheelchair-accessible vans.
- Certificate III or IV in a caring discipline is highly regarded.
- Have or willing to obtain required checks (National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, Driver's Licence).
To give you flexibility and the chance to grow your hours, we ask for availability across at least 3 weekdays, with full-day availability between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This helps us schedule consistent support for our customers and offer you more hours as they become available.
