About the position

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our dynamic team at Ability WA, where your expertise will drive financial excellence and support our growth.

We're hiring for multiple positions at our Coolbinia Head Office. Full-time opportunities are available, including both permanent and fixed-term positions (3 months with possible extensions).

As a Financial Accountant you will:

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting
  • Review and prepare monthly BAS/GST and IAS returns
  • Collate data and prepare FBT returns
  • Assist the Financial Controller with statutory report preparation
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register

About You

What we’ll need to help kick-start your journey with us:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, or Accounting
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent membership (or working towards it)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Agile, able to maintain quality whilst working to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team
  • Current National Police Clearance no older than 6 months, Current Driver’s Licence, NDIS Workers Orientation Module, NDIS Worker Screening check and COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
