About the role
For 75 years, Ability WA has been a leading NDIS provider in Western Australia, empowering people living with disability to realise their abilities.
As we expand our services across Perth’s northern corridor, we’re seeking a driven and empowering Allied Health Team Leader to play a key role in establishing our new Yanchep hub.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced allied health professional ready to step into leadership, or an established leader looking for a fresh challenge in a growing service.
Working in partnership with the Therapy Services Operations Manager and Project Lead, you’ll help build and shape a high-performing team from the ground up.
⏰ Part Time, 0.6FTE
📅 Fixed term contract (until 31st December 2026)

As a Team Leader, you will:
- Lead local recruitment in partnership with Talent Acquisition and leadership to build the Yanchep team
- Support onboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging employee experience
- Promote Ability WA services within the community to drive referrals and brand awareness
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing, values-aligned and inclusive team
- Support career growth through meaningful 1:1s, mentoring and team huddles
- Work closely with the Wanneroo Team, including Team Leaders and therapists
- Model Ability WA’s leadership behaviours and organisational values
- Manage feedback and escalations with professionalism and empathy
Essential skills & qualifications
- Allied Health qualification with AHPRA or relevant professional registration
- Strong clinical capability within your discipline
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop others
- Strong networking capabilities
- Excellent communication, organisation and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders
- Full working rights in Australia
Required checks:
National Police Clearance, Driver’s Licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate
