Finance Lead

About the position

As a Finance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, NDIS Claims, and other Debtor Management Teams.

This role ensures the smooth and efficient processing of financial transactions, the maintenance of accurate financial records, and the effective management of company debts.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller to identify and implement process and system improvements within the relevant finance systems.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in our Coolbinia Head Office.

As a Finance Lead, you will:

  • Prepare timely and accurate preparation of monthly management and board reports, statutory reports, audit files, and government returns, including BAS/GST, IAS and FBT returns.
  • Process month-end journals and reconciliations.
  • Review and maintain Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, NDIS Claims & Acquittals and Debtor Management Teams.
  • Effectively manage change processes to achieve organisational goals.
  • Liaise closely with departmental managers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with the Financial Controller regarding expected outflows.

About You

What we’ll need to help kick-start your journey with us:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, etc) is preferred.
  • Minimum of FIVE years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or debtor management roles.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

As part of the onboarding process, we will require the following:

  • Proof of Full Australian Work Rights.
  • Copy of your qualifications.
  • National Police Clearance (issued within the past 6 months).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations.
