About the role
As a Service Coordinator, you’ll build strong, trusted relationships with customers and their families, acting as their primary point of contact for core support services. You’ll oversee the coordination of supports, ensure services align with customer goals and funding, and work collaboratively across internal and external providers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who enjoys juggling priorities while keeping customers at the heart of every decision.
How you’ll make a difference
In this role, you will work alongside customers to choose how their NDIS funding is used, ensuring services reflect individual choice, goals and available funding. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining quality, safety and continuous improvement across service delivery.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary liaison for customers and their families
- Delivering and role‑modelling exceptional customer service
- Providing quality practice leadership, guidance and coaching
- Facilitating, maintaining and reviewing Customer Support Plans and related documentation
- Supporting NDIS pre‑planning, goal progression, progress reporting and plan optimisation
- Monitoring plan utilisation and managing operating budgets and KPIs
- Managing rosters and customer funding packages efficiently and effectively
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including CMS data integrity
Reporting, managing and monitoring incidents, investigations and complaints with a strong focus on prevention and continuous improvement - Participating in Quality & Safeguarding Commission activities

About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring both technical capability and a strong commitment to person‑centred practice.
You will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Health, Disability, Social Services, Behavioural or Sciences (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting people with disability in a similar role and/or within a community organisation
- Strong understanding of contemporary disability practice, including active participation, supported decision‑making, self‑determination and citizenship
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Sound understanding of the NDIS and the Quality & Safeguarding Framework
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to Ability WA’s purpose and strategic objectives
Mandatory requirements:
- Right to work in Australia
- Ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence
- COVID‑19 Vaccination Certificate
- Commitment to a safe work culture and WHS compliance
